If you're a hat lover and want to learn more about your favorite garment and/or how to make one yourself, at Sombrereria Mil we're pleased to present our Basic Hatmaking Workshop in Barcelona.
In this workshop, you'll learn the basics of millinery: from shaping the crown to sewing the inner lining, you'll go through each essential step of creating your own hat.
No prior knowledge is required to participate in this course, although basic sewing skills are recommended.
This introductory course is divided into three micro-workshops, each focusing on a key aspect of hat making. And at the end, you get to take home your creation!

Course content:
· First micro-workshop: Shaping the Cup - You will begin by selecting the shape, cinching and ironing for a perfect finish.
· Second micro-workshop: Working the Brim - Learn how to cut and press the brim of the hat, as well as how to install an inner sweatband for the ideal fit.
· Third Micro Workshop: Finishing and Details - Complete your hat with the outer band and lining, and take your masterpiece home in style.
You have two options to take this course:
Option A: Course divided into 3 sessions of two hours each.
Schedule: Every Tuesday from 5pm to 7pm for 3 consecutive weeks.
Duration: 3 sessions, 2 hours each.
Option B: Course completed in a single 6-hour session.
Hours: Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Duration: 1 session of 6 hours, divided into 3 micro-workshops.
